Australia held the Royal Commission into the New South Wales Police Force corruption from 1994 to 1997 which was overseen by Justice James Roland Tomson Wood, also termed The Wood Royal Commission. 

In 1995 the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) referred a matter to the Royal Commission regarding the possibility of collusion between paedophile organised crime networks, members from the legal profession, media, political establishment, senior ranks of the NSW Police Force and Judiciary.
